About
Growing up in Pleasanton, California, Simone and Emma spent much of their time in the city's timeless downtown. From its weekly farmer's market to its cattle drive, downtown Pleasanton was full of life and happy memories. Many of the city's beloved small businesses such as Meadowlark Diary, Inklings, and Prim Boutique occupy this section of the town as hidden treasures of Pleasanton.
Ever since the pandemic hit, many treasured shops and family-run restaurants began to shut down due to a lack of business. Heartbroken by this tragedy, Emma and Simone decided that now was the time to act. As students of Marketing and Business courses at Foothill High School, both girls have experience in building effective marketing campaigns and understanding the operations and logistics of businesses. Simone and Emma are both officers in their school's business organization, DECA. They have not only taught business concepts to other students, but also worked with companies and industry specialists. Both of them have placed in top three for their competitive marketing campaigns at DECA conferences. Both girls share many artistic capabilities that have helped them master the realm of graphic design and digital media. As officers of numerous organizations and clubs, they have strong experience in digital production such as social media fliers, promotional videos, color schemes, logo creation, and t-shirt design. Combining their industry knowledge with their design skills, Emma and Simone believe they can help struggling small businesses and non-profit organizations. Before, these companies found it unnecessary to rely on online services as there was a stream of loyal and prospective customers. Now, however, many of them must make the transition to online platforms and the digital world. We hope that our free design and marketing services can help make that transition easier. This is a pact that we have not only made to our community and many others, but also to ourselves. The Design Pact. |
